In order for that type of pressure to exist you would need everyone to stop buying. I have a Komplete 12 Ultimate (Upgrade via Komplete 2) that I was trying to sell on Reverb bundled with my S61 MK2. Digital goods, especially through a direct sales model, cost nothing, providing no overhead pressure. Usually 90 days on the shelf is when your inventory starts costing you margin. Your two statements are incongruous: retailers offer deep discounts to “move stock” because inventory has terms and turns. Anyone missing it waiting for a deeper discount is going to miss the bus. They’ll run their usual sale and make bank. Digital music production and DJing are on fire right now, just look at the traffic on all of the relevant subreddits. People are stuck at home and looking for things to do. If a person has enough savings to not work until Q2 2021 (hopefully we will start getting vaccine by then but i doubt it) > sure buy what You need just to keep busy.but if You have to chose K12 over food and bills.well. There is only small fraction of musicians that dont work 2nd job to pay the bills > these people once faced with that reality (+ government being useless as always) will be holding on to their money when faced this uncertainty. thing is this pandemic wont end this year. Looks like theyve just doubled the price of an upgrade from Komplete Select to the full Komplete. If i bellied in that i would buy bunch of stuff - after all, we have all that time on our hand. I mean if i would not listen to experts i would believe what politicians kept saying from the start (they are protecting their stocks in reality- greedy bastards).
People where told this situation would last month or two. Maybe I’m in a minority but I’ve bought products from them because of this shutdown
